Fife Derby Re-Scheduled
The long awaited rearranged fixture at home to Raith Rovers has finnaly been scheduled for the tuesday 2nd March at 7:45pm ko. The last time these two teams met at Eastend Park Raith were 0-2 winners but in the latest fife derby the pars came out on top winning 1-2 at Starks park. The game was meant to be played on the 2nd of January but due to a frozen pitch and scottish cup ties being played this is the only possible time for the match to be played.
Defeated at hands of AYR UTD !!!
A shocking display from the home team saw us play well in the opening stages but swiftly driffeted out of a dull game which seen Gary Masons return to eastend park posponed as the manager decided to play himself instead. In all we had 14 corners but failed to capitalise o the chances. With a boring game on the cards things took a turn for the worst as Ayr pushed ahead. The pars didn't look like equallising but came close with a shot coming back off the woodwork but appart for that we just were'nt good enough. Final score Dunfermline 0 - 1 Ayr.

2-2 With County
The pars threw away a two goal lead from the first half to end the game a draw in Dingwall. Nicky Phinn fired the pars two up in the first half but ross county played well and pulled us back before we had the chance to run away with the game. County showed great fighting spirit and were deservent of the point, the pars had the chance to close the gap near the top and almost had it but let it slip from their grasp. Hopefully this isnt a sign of whats to come over the next few games after the cup exit to Celtic.

Out of the Scottish Cup
Dunfermline crashed out of the scottish cup on sunday after a 4-2 defeat to the hands of Celtic. All eyes were focused on the Celtic teamsheet to see if Robbie Keane would be starting. The Republic of Ireland striker found him self on the bench at the start of the match but would later make a huge impact. Celtic pushed ahead in the early stages of the game with new loan striker Kammera. But Celtics joy was very short lived as straight from the kick ff the pars worked their way down the wing before Nicky Phinn played in David Graham sloted in the equalising goal. Dunfermline were then awarded a penalty shortly after and Andy Kirk stepped up to fire Dunfermline 2-1 up. Celtic scored in the turning point of the match in the 42nd minute to send both teams level at half time. The second have started and the main man had come on, Robbie Kean was on the pitch and was trying to make an immediate impact. Celtic edged ahead thanks to an own goal by defender Calum Woods before Celtic were awarded a penalty of their own. Keane stpped up and calmly slotted the ball passed a stranded Greg Flemming in the Dunfermline goal. Dunfermline seemed to run out of steam and Celtic ran out winners sending the pars out of the cup. It was an entertaining game and the near 9000 crowd produced a great atmosphere. Celtic now have a quarter final tie with Ross County.
Well done pars you played a great game.

Queen of the South - Tuesday 2nd February
After Saturdays home game against Queens was postponed due to a frozen pitch both teams have agreed to play the fixture tonight. Pay at the gate administration and kick off is 7.45pm. Dunfermline have won eight of their last twelve games and we hope they can keep up this good form going into sundays game against Celtic.
Scottish Cup VS Celtic
Dunfermline have drawn Celtic f.c. in the 5th round of the scottish cup. The game is to be held at East End Park on the 7th of February kick off 12.15pm. The Pars got through to the 4th round after a replay against Stenhousemuir which Dunfermline narrowly won 2-1 after extra time. The Pars had already beat Steny a massive 7-1 at home but due to some admin errors and feilding an illegible player saw us thrown out of the cup. We appealed the descision and won the fight to be reinstated into the cup. Celtic are one of the biggest names in Scottish football and Dunfermline have a tough game ahead of them.
Breif History
Dunfermline Athletic Football Club aka 'The Pars' were formed 1874 after the Dunfermline cricket team formed a football club to keep fit. Since then Dunfermline a.f.c. have won the Scottish cup on two occasions and were promoted into the top flight of scottish football in 1927 and were relegated from the premier division in 2007.
